Q & A: What do you mean with IT as a service?

IT a service, often called maneged services or outsourcing, is a different way of cunsuming IT. Your organisation doesn’t buy and own harware and software but uses it as part on an IT service contract with a defined service level agreement. For example: you can buy a firewall and manage it (100% in house) or buy and have an external company managing it (managed service) or buy a service that includes the required firewall (firewall as a service).
